About
In June of 1969, Paul Lovezzola had his first taste of the pizza business while working as manager of Badinos Pizza on Washington Street in Natick, Massachusetts. After only three short months as manager, Paul purchased Badinos Pizza and renamed it Padinos. Due to increasing overhead, he downsized and relocated to South Main Street in Natick, Massachusetts.
After six long years and working two jobs trying to pay off debt, Paul & Juanita moved the family to Savannah. When they arrived, they had no intention of continuing in the pizza business. After two unsuccessful months in searching for a job, Paul's father-in-law told him about a vacancy in the Pooler Shopping Center. With no other choices, Paul & Juanita opened Lovezzola's Pizza & Subs in January 1978. After five successful years, they started the construction of a full sit-down restaurant, which Pooler lacked at the time.
In 1983, Lovezzola’s Pizza & Subs changed its name to Lovezzola’s Pizza Family Restaurant and relocated to its current location at 320 E. Hwy 80. Lovezzola’s Pizza Family Restaurant is operated by the Lovezzola family; Paul, Juanita, Steven, Sherri, and Timmy. Everyone is involved in making the business what it is today.
